Brief
The project involved redesigning a food ordering kiosk for corporate and college cafeterias according to Time 2 Eat's new branding. The goal was to create a seamless and intuitive interface that reduces wait times, simplifies menu navigation, and accommodates other marketing needs.
Problem
The existing kiosk design was outdated and lacked visual appeal, making it less engaging for users. While the core user experience was functional, the interface led to decreased user satisfaction.
Research
Our research focused on understanding user needs and industry standards through user story mapping and competitor analysis. User story mapping helped us identify key pain points and prioritize features that mattered most to users. Competitor analysis provided insights into best practices and design trends in food ordering kiosks, guiding our visual and functional enhancements.

Ideation
Our goal with the ideation phase was to enhance the visual appeal with slight changes to the pre existing user flow. We experimented with different layouts to create a more engaging and intuitive interface. By iterating on design elements that improved clarity and accessibility, we developed a UI that enhanced the overall user experience while maintaining familiarity.

User testing
After completing the rebranding, we conducted user testing with a prototype of the final design to gather feedback. Based on the insights, we implemented several enhancements, such as refining button CTAs and improving the search functionality. However, some suggestions, while valuable, were outside the project’s scope and were noted for future iterations.

Future enhancements
After the user testing we noted some points that were out of scope for this phase but would provide a better experience to the user. So we decided to go live with the current design, gather data and then implement these insights. Here are some of the planned enhancements:
Motivate users to eat healthier with loyalty points on certain items
Personalized recomendation after user identification
Improve upselling after adding an item and on the cart summary page
Add more accessibility features like audio assistance and alternative input methods
